She is the creative force behind Bible Tea, a viral digital platform known for its captivating, humorous, and biblically accurate storytelling that makes scripture accessible to a new generation. Kaydene wrote this book for everyone who thought the Bible was too boring, too confusing, or too traditional. With a background in education, ministry, and entrepreneurship, she is passionate about helping people grow closer to God in ways that feel real and relatable.
She leads The Kweendom, an online faith community rooted in daily devotion, healing, and transformation. Raised in a Caribbean Pentecostal church as the daughter of Bishop James Chalwell and Lady D, Kaydene discovered her gift for teaching the Bible as a teen. She now lives in Philadelphia with her husband, Antonio Grant, and their son, AJ—fulfilling the prophecy to be a mighty woman of God with a church without walls.

Bible Tea exists to help people reconnect with God by making the Bible feel real, relevant, and worth reading again. Through storytelling in African American Vernacular English and bold cultural commentary, we inspire biblical literacy, spiritual growth, and leadership for a generation often overlooked by traditional church spaces. Every story points back to God’s redemptive plan through Jesus Christ—because the tea may be wild, but the message is holy. It’s not just about knowing the stories—it’s about recognizing the thoughts, emotions, and actions that separate us from God and leaning into His unwavering plan to restore us to a relationship with Him. That’s the real T.E.A. The Bible Tea book series reimagines Scripture through raw, relatable storytelling—starting with Genesis. Written in AAVE and rooted in cultural honesty, each book retells Bible stories like hot gossip without compromising biblical truth. Through devotionals and study journals, the series helps readers understand the Word, reflect on their thoughts, emotions, and actions, and trace the redemption thread leading to Jesus Christ.
